Hi. I want to let you know my experience with the Guilford County Animal Shelter, period. I wanted a new cat, and this was in January. And I went to the Guilford County Animal Shelter, and it was locked up tight as a drum with no hours posted. And no way to contact them, period. So, I went to their website to see what animals they had available. And they listed about four dogs and five cats, and that was it. And I was pretty sure they had more animals than that. But that’s all they had on the website. And, so, I went somewhere else. I went to Red Dog Farm and got a wonderful cat, and I’m so happy. But the county animal shelter was a loser.

I’m asking investors in Greensboro to please invest in low-income housing. There is a huge shortage of places for people to live in this city and county who do not have the ability to make a lot of money. These people are good people. Like I said, they just don’t make a lot of money. There’s a great shortage. As a matter of fact, there’s about a three-year waiting list on the few complexes that we have that are called income-restricted, low-income housing. Investors, would you, please, buy land in any part of the county and build apartment complexes for these people to live in? It’s a no-lose situation for you, because they pay a certain percentage of their income, and the government subsidizes the rest.

Yeah, in regard to the article about Marsha Williams getting off with a plea bargain. I really think the most appropriate punishment for her would be for her to have to be locked in a cage for about four to six weeks and people treat her the way she treated those animals that were in her care and were supposed to have been looked after by her and not abused and neglected. So, let Marsha Williams get a little taste of her own medicine. That would be the best thing that could happen to her.

I read an article about checking out fish games. Why is this allowable and sweepstakes are not? Same money is spent to play games, and a computer operates the fish games like it does the computers on the sweepstakes. I would like to see someone in authority check out the fish games. I have friends who play these games, sometimes losing hundreds of dollars, sometimes as much as $4,000 or $5,000 in one night. My question is, what’s so bad about the sweepstakes? BJ Barnes, you need to check this out. You check out everything else. You checked out the lady with the dog pound in Davidson County even though she had been found not guilty in Guilford County. And I think Guilford County is what pays your salary. Let’s see what’s going on.

You know he cut the funding to Meals on Wheels through an executive order. I appreciate your editor’s note to my post. You replied that Mitch McConnell was outranked by the president, and I guess that was supposed to mean that Mr. Trump can do whatever he wants. In this country, the president proposes legislation, and Congress either approves it or not. President Obama didn’t wave a wand and create Obamacare. He drummed up the votes, and Congress passed it. Now, it looks like Mr. Trump might have to pull his request for money to build a wall out of the proposed US budget to get the budget passed. Back to my point, if Trump swore Mexico would pay for the wall, why did he ask for money from Congress to build it? Looks like Mexico is not paying after all.

I was at the Interactive Resource Center two weeks ago volunteering, as I’ve done before, and one of the clients started beating in the head an elderly lady who works at the front desk. And, then, they want the clients to jump in and break it up, to pull the other client off the staff. What is going on at that place? Somebody is going to get killed. There is no security guards. I mean, I hope that lady is OK. But I won’t be back.

Hello. I’m calling about Ann Coulter, who is supposed to be going to Berkeley to talk about a speech that she has, and talk to the college students and everything that invited her to go. And now she’s not going to go because her sponsors have backed out because they’re getting death threats. And they’re getting threats on their lives. And these people are going to do violence to these people. I want to say this to Berkeley and all these other liberal colleges around here. You’re getting tax money from the taxpayers of everybody. And I think it’s a shame that these people are acting out the way they are.

I think it’s time that we took our tax money away from these colleges, and we stop giving all this money for these people to go to college, because they’re not learning anything. On the surface, the pending legislation in Raleigh to make the left-hand lane on our highways reserved for those who wish to break the law by traveling speeds higher than the posted speed limit seems absolutely insane. But if you think about it more closely, what this is really about is increasing revenue for the State of North Carolina. If we get the law-abiding citizens out of the left-hand lane, and let the law breakers briskly travel in the left-hand lane, think how much easier it will be to catch these miscreants. There’s a lane of traffic there, and the police and state troopers can just stop one after another. I’m all for it. I say bust these people. Fine them. Get their licenses, whatever it takes. Pass this legislation and let’s get these people off the roads.

I was watching CNN and had this lady going around. And you would think the world was coming to an end, because Trump was in. She went to Baltimore. She went out in the fields in California. Yeah, I work over here off South Chimney Rock Road, over here by the tank farm. Well, we normally get off about 2 or 3 in the morning, leave the plant right over here by the rock quarry. We keep seeing – at first I thought I was seeing things. We have like – I guess you would say a mountain tiger, or something of that type of content. But, apparently, he’s living in here in the woods back over here by the rock quarry. A couple of us have seen him like four or five times. And we were talking about it actually. It’s actually been sightings of it actually on the quarry itself in the woods around it. It seems to be coming over her from the undeveloped section off of Chimney Road across the street from the tank farm. I’m wondering if somebody had it as a pet and it just got too big. So they dumped it out over in the woods somewhere.

When I was in the third grade, I had to be moved to a fourth-grade class for reading. And by the time I was in the eighth grade, I was reading on the first year of college level. And when school starts back, they’re going to be needing school supplies, Kleenex tissue, pencils, paper, you name it. Book bags. And, then, they want them to have a snack after school, breakfast before lunch, supper on the weekends. This is unreal. They need to take that $45 million that they plan on building that big stadium, and they need to feed these hungry people and clothe them and put pencil and paper in their hands so they can go to school. This is unreal. This mayor and that city council, except for one of them, need to go jump. They will not be voted back in if I have anything to do with it.

As I’m sitting here watching that Washington, DC, dinner correspondent, that comedian they have on there is disgraceful. And if all of that bunch that I’m looking at is what’s running this country, it’s no wonder that we’re in the shape we’re in. Because most of them looks like they’re anywhere from 85 to 90 years old. They should be home a looking after their great grandchildren instead of sitting up there keeping Trump from doing what he’s doing. They’re a poor, pitiful bunch of people laughing at things that that comedian is saying that is not even funny. It’s plumb stupid. And while Trump was out taking care of business, he stands up there and talks about him. The best president we’ve had in many a year. They should be talking about what some of the other crowd is doing out there. Old congressmen sitting up there for 40 and 50 years that should have done retired. They don’t even know what they’re doing.
