The people that sign up for the military and enlist, and then sign up for overseas duty in Afghanistan and Iraq, these people are without a doubt our true heroes. On the night of August 22, 23, an unknown man broke into the Ecuadorian embassy in London, was discovered by security and managed to escape. The founder of Wikileaks, Julian Assange, is holed up there, as the entire world knows. Mr. Assange has publicly declared that he has very damaging information on Hillary Clinton and that he will release it before the US presidential election in November. Here’s the thing: Embassies contain no valuables that can be readily fenced. So was this an attempt to silence Assange before he can drop the goods on Hillary? The Clintons leave an incredible trail of dead bodies and mysterious deaths wherever they go, but the mainstream media won’t touch this bombshell story. But I believe that Hillary, or someone in her cabal, just tried to murder Julian Assange. Just sign me off as An Independent Thinker.

I have been a Greensboro citizen for 65 years. I have voted in every election since I have been 20 years old. I will be voting against the bond in November for one major reason: I will no longer pay any money to Greensboro as long as that international civil rights museum exists and our hard-earned taxpaying money is going into the pockets of somebody because, obviously, it’s not going to pay any debt that the civil rights museum owes. And I do issue a challenge to all other businesses in town to stop paying their taxes since the civil rights museum does not have to pay its taxes.

I have a business on the Boardwalk in Atlantic City. I go up there every eight weeks, and I can tell you for a fact the Taj Mahal is not going down. It was so packed over the weekend. I had never seen that many people there. So, the Democrats that keep calling in, do know there are some business owners that actually live in North Carolina. In fact, I live in Greensboro, and I do own a bakery up there on the Boardwalk. And I can tell you for a fact the casinos are not in trouble. They’re going to stay open, and they are making a ton of business, especially right now over the holiday. They have a slow season.

I recently ran into an old high school classmate that I hadn’t seen since 1972. After briefly telling each other what we’ve been up to for the last 44 years, the subject turned to the upcoming election. He mentioned to me that he was a Christian and was a regular attending member of a large protestant church located in Fisher Park here in Greensboro. He said he planned to vote for ungodly, liberal, lying Hillary Rodham Clinton, although he didn’t say it quite that way. I told him I, too, am a member of a protestant church in Greensboro, albeit a smaller church than the one in Fisher Park, and very active in many church activities including council meetings and the choir, etc. He asked me who I planned to vote for, and I told him Donald Trump. He asked me why Trump if I profess to be a believing Christian. I briefly explained eight issues that were extremely important to me this election to him.

I was reading in the Rhino about somebody called in and said about the civil rights museum or whatever it’s called this week, they change it when they owe money about they should be investigated by the SBI. I think somebody from Raleigh needs to come to Greensboro, sent by the governor, just don’t have – not in nobody’s pocket like Earl Jones and Skip Alston and Nancy Vaughan – that would go through the books on this museum and everything else that they’ve got that Skip Alston and Earl Jones has got, and Nancy Vaughan has got, and investigate all of them. They’re taking money from the taxpayers. Why don’t they have to pay back loans? Why don’t they foreclose on that museum or the Woolworth building, whatever they want to call it? Anybody else they’d foreclose if you don’t pay your taxes. That’s wrong.

I was just wondering if someone in Greensboro can explain to me what has happened to my fire department. I’ve been here for 25 years, and I don’t understand who we’re promoting people to these deputy chief positions who have never been a fire ground officer. We have people that are second command now that have never been lieutenants, captains, battalion chiefs or assistant chiefs in the field. And, yet, now they’ve moved up the ranks to these high-level positions. And I’ve watched this happen for the last 25 years, but especially in the last couple. We’re promoting people will little or no real-world fire and rescue experience. Some people call it a buddy-buddy system. I think it’s alive and well. I’m just so disappointed, because I love my job, and I enjoy coming to work, but it’s hard to watch these people they’re putting into positions at various levels who really don’t have the experience necessary to command the fire ground and make decisions, especially those at the top.

Yes, I just thought I’d remind all the Democrats about United Way some years ago. Do you remember that charitable organization and how they were exposed for having all their top executives and management people getting tons of money, how appalled everybody was, Republicans, Democrats, Independents? And here you have the Clinton Foundation getting tons of money, access to the secretary of state, her daughter being employed by the foundation, $40 million of the money that they received was used by them for flying around, staying, drinking, socializing with people all over the world. Yeah, I was just at the Interactive Resource Center, and I had to do an internship this year and thought about doing it there. That place is a dump. What a dump. The grass was all tall. Nobody bothered to cut the grass. There’s weeds, and I guess it’s things that they were trying to plant that nobody ever took care of. And people were out in front fighting. I couldn’t hardly get in. I could barely get in the door. So there’s no way I’m going back there. My concern is the city needs to do something about that place before somebody gets killed. It’s obvious that the management doesn’t care, whoever is running that place, the city or the manager there, they need to do something about that. They have a place for homeless people to go, and then they can’t even be safe while they’re there. It’s just not right.

I wouldn’t claim to have any thinking of how I could understand Hillary Clinton, but with all this war chest of money that she’s got, and people are suffering down in Louisiana needing money, it would sure be a way to get votes. And why she’s not down there. She’s out in Hollywood raising money, hobnobbing with the people out there. I don’t understand. But there’s one thing that I do know for sure. Yes, I read your article on Evans-Blount Clinic. And according to the interview of Mr. Carter, the clinic sees an average of 413 people a month. That’s a 103 people a week, 21 people a day, two persons per hour. So with the doctor being there twice a week, he’s seeing an average of 20 people a week. So, my question is this, with them receiving $540,000, which is 37 percent of their revenue, why is the county funding this clinic? Why can’t the clinic stand on its own? Mr. Carter is making a million and a half a year. He’s getting revenue from Medicaid and Medicare, personal insurance. So, why is the county paying for rent, janitorial services and other perks? Are there any proof of these numbers that he recorded?

I’m 53 years old. And I show my ID at the bank. That’s it. I haven’t shown my ID to anyone else except for a police officer probably in the last 10 years except at the bank. But, anyway, just because someone says we need an ID to vote, does that eliminate voter fraud? You know, if you go down to South Carolina and you tell an address, you could just make something up, an address in South Carolina, and you can get a driver’s license. You know, you can do the same thing in Virginia. You can go to Virginia, tell them you live at a certain address and get an ID. And then on voter day, you can drive down to South Carolina early in the morning, do your voting there. Drive through North Carolina, do your voting here. And, then, drive right up into Virginia and do your voting there.

I would just like to inform readers that there are some states in this country that are allowing students to pray during school hours. Yes, every state in this country allows any student to pray during school hours. They don’t necessarily allow you to gather in masses and pray, but you can, as an individual student sitting in your seat, pray any time you want. Does it need to be out loud? Just reading in the Rhino this week where a caller says they’ve been voting every election since they was 18 years old, but they were going to sit this one out. A lot of people feel like that, but there is so much at stake. This may be the most important election you’ve ever voted in. You need to get to the polls. If Hillary Clinton is elected, she’s going to destroy the Supreme Court. She’s going to fill it with the most liberal judges she can find. And at stake will be so much, so much that’s meaningful to the American families, especially the faith families. Our gun rights, many other issues, many important issues are going to be taken by liberal judges that she’ll certainly appoint.
