City of Greensboro crews are continuing round-the-clock work following the last two major winter weather events, and now efforts are focused on clearing the remaining snow and ice from roads and catching up on solid waste and recycling collection.
Road clearing operations are still underway in areas where snow and ice persist. City officials are asking Greensboro residents who notice lingering icy or snowy conditions on roadways to contact the City’s Contact Center so a work order can be created.
Solid Waste and Recycling crews are also continuing service and addressing missed collections related to the winter weather. Residents whose Monday or Tuesday solid waste collection wasn’t completed are encouraged to contact the City to request follow-up service.
Issues and service requests can be reported by calling the City’s Contact Center at 336-373-CITY (2489).
City officials are also thanking residents for their patience and assistance as response and cleanup efforts continue

Called the city requesting a plow for the street so the trash & recycling trucks can empty our cans.
Note- 2 weeks and no trash pick-up
Within a few hours the plow came – next day both trash & recycling truck were on our street. Thank you GSO personnel who made this request happen.
What about out in the county?
My street has 2″ of ice/snow mix, as of 2-7-26.
I got mail once in a week because I met the mail truck up street.
I guess I would call the city or the state. The county does not handle roads.
Yet the County Commissars bend us over a table take us for more, more, MORE money. What do we get for it? Oh, that’s right…..NOTHING EXCEPT A PAT ON THE HEAD!
Alan I got a jar of Vaseline ( small jar) in my tax bill
i would like ‘to report remaining snow & ice’
