Guilford County Sheriff’s Office investigators have arrested a 56-year-old Greensboro man on multiple felony charges related to the alleged sexual exploitation of a minor.
Sheriff Danny Rogers announced on Friday, Feb. 27 that on Monday, Feb. 23, Child Crimes Detectives with the Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Investigative Unit began investigating a report of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor after a cyber tip was forwarded to local authorities. The tip was first received by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which then notified the Sheriff’s Office.
As a result of that investigation, detectives arrested Richard Lynn Upright on Friday, February 27. Upright is charged with ten counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Upright was working as a teacher at Vandalia Christian School in Greensboro at the time the investigation began.
Upright is being held at the Guilford County Detention Center under no bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for Monday, March 2, at 2 p.m.
Sheriff’s officials said the investigation remains active and that no additional details will be released at this time.

So sad, and a Christian school at that, just goes to show just because it’s at a Christian school doesn’t make it perfect . We’re all sinners and in need of a savior. Some need more discipline.

Hey did you see where that guy who shot dead some innocent Americans in Austin, Texas was wearing a sweatshirt that said “Property of Allah’? Do you know, I have never seen a perpetrator of any of these atrocities who wore a shirt saying “Property of Jesus”. Or who specifically invoked their religion while murdering people – “Alllahu Akbar!”… except for Muslims.

Some liberal judge gave him a $750k bond on Monday, March 2nd. I can think of cheaper ways to “dispose” of this case. I suppose we will have to settle for paying for his meals, clothing, room & board, utilities, recreational materials, cable TV, medical expenses, sundries, legal costs for both sides, etc. because we live in a weak society. Somehow I feel we all got screwed. Guilford County, like many others, typically places these “Chesters” together with like minded individuals and the well behaved murderers. The two groups who usually keep their mouths shut and dont talk about their cases. The downside to that is that long-term they all learn how to be better predators.
If our society truly had the fortitude to handle perverts & murderers, we should be able to fast track that trial to under 90 days and carry out justice for those found guilty within 24 hours.
So let me get this straight. He was an Upright teacher at a Christian School. Can’t make this stuff up.
