Yes, I’d like to give everyone in Greensboro a verbal warning. If you’re driving down Gate City Boulevard, the speed limit is 45 miles per hour. When you get to Gate City Boulevard in Adam’s Farm, the speed limit is 45 miles per hour. But when you come up where the GOP headquarters and the Box Seat is and it splits off to High Point Road, the speed limit drops down 15 miles, all the way down to 30 miles per hour right there in that curve into that intersection. And there’s a lot of people getting yanked over, because there is no reduced speed limit signs or anything. In fact, I have it on good terms that the speed limit is supposed to be 45 through there. But somebody has stuck up 30 miles speed limit signs right through that one section of the road. And there’s a lot of people getting pulled over by highway patrol and stuff.

Hey, Rhino Times, I just want to thank John Hammer for his small article here in the Feb. 22 edition. The News & Record doesn’t think its business is news. Of course, I don’t recall seeing anything in the News & Record regarding the layoffs of Doug Clark and Susan Ladd when expected to be. Pelosi lives in San Francisco in a beautiful home that overlooks the San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge. She has a wall around it, and bodyguards. Yes, I’ve got something to say about these high school kids protesting against gun violence and even walking out of the meeting. First of all, the high school students could help by stop being so mean to each other. They tear each other apart on social media. If someone doesn’t fit in their little clique, or their little trendy group, they’re ostracized. They’re treated like a piece of trash. These high school kids are mean to their parents. They’re mean to each other. They’re mean to their teachers. Maybe they should start having a little more compassion for people other than being so mean and hateful. Stop ostracizing people and stop treating people like they don’t fit in.

Can you believe what you hear on NPR radio stations? This morning I listened to a report by Lauren Frayer about the British nationalized medical system, the National Health Service. I have availed myself of the service many times. During her glowing tribute to the state monopoly, Ms. Frayer complained that in recent years, increased funding for the NHS had been “slower.” Slower than what, she did not say. She also repeatedly referred to “the English people,” when, of course, she meant the British people. And she wrongly asserted that the NHS is funded through payroll taxes. It is not. It is funded from all general revenues including income tax, VAT, excise taxes and everything else. It would be hard to imagine a more biased and error ridden report, but that’s what NPR delivers every day, and most listeners don’t realize they’re being chronically misled. And then national progressive radio has the temerity to describe itself as unbiased reporting. It is neither unbiased nor reporting, in the commonly accepted meaning of purveying truth. Just sign me off as An Independent Thinker.

Enjoyed the letter to the editor from Mr. Ed about the death penalty. I wholeheartedly agree. We must reinforce the death penalty as a deterrent. I wonder when the American citizens of these victims are going to march in order to get it reinstated. I believe in forgiveness. These criminals do not ask for forgiveness. Please, please, let’s quit harboring these criminals, keeping them up, feeding them everyday and giving them top medical care when the older citizens of the U.S. of A. cannot afford medical care when they have worked all their lives. I went to a meeting last night out in Forest Oaks where I happen to be resident. I witnessed a group of individuals trying to take over the community and force a homeowners’ association on us. They’re reviving 50-year-old covenants that are outdated and bringing them up and forming a homeowners’ committee and forcing the issue with covenants. If you sign up for this, you lose control of your property. Anything you do to that piece of property is going to have to be taken to the board of three to five members in which they will make a decision whether they will allow you to do that or not. If you violate the covenants, which most people have because they have a fence, they have a carport or a garage that opens to the front with doors on it, or any numerous other stuff that’s 50 years old and outdated, then you’re already in noncompliance with the covenants.

I think President Trump’s idea of putting this conceal carry policy into the schools and arming teachers is a fabulous idea. I think maybe we could extend it further to the Trump Tower, and he can get rid of all of his security guys at the Trump Tower, you know, and just get the busboy to have a conceal carry permit and put a gun on him. And maybe the woman who makes the beds, you know, she could get a conceal carry permit and put a gun with her. And, then, you know, when some active shooter comes into the Trump Tower, let the busboy take him out. What a great idea.

This call has been printed in here once before. And I’m calling to counter this. It states in here that poor people are the most discriminated against because they live in certain neighborhoods. They go to certain schools. They can’t eat at certain places. And they want the government to come in and subsidize housing so they don’t have to pay rent. Well, first and foremost, I’d like say this, you can go anywhere you want to eat. You can go anywhere you want to go to school just about. And I’d like to say this as well. If you don’t watch Fox News, you may not be aware that all this probe into the Russian meddling has showed that the Clinton’s campaign was colluding with the Russians to get a fake dossier on Trump, which they then used to obtain the FISA warrant. Also, the Russians had been meddling with American politics since 2014, putting people on social media. This was during Obama’s reign. The question now is, who knew what when. And, of course, the Clintons, besides being compulsive liars, seem to suffer from a whole lot of chronic mental lapses, memory lapses. They can’t remember anything. So, they’re no help. Then there was Obama. Well, he should have known what was going on. But, you know, Obama, he never knowed nothing until he read in the newspaper. Therefore, we’re going to have to depend on other people who are a little more honest.

Well, the North Carolina Education Lottery that you see on television every 15 minutes, if that don’t have enough money generated to hire somebody to guard the school inside, that’s got a gun, that knows how to use it, and is willing to use it, I don’t know what else we can do. They’ve got guns everywhere. They don’t send policemen out with no guns. You don’t send a man into battle with no gun. They got guns in jewelry stores. They got guns in banks. All the Hollywood people has got people walking along with guns. All they need to do is quit talking about this and go to hiring some people. They don’t have to be a Marine veteran, or Special Forces. Councilperson Michelle Kennedy said that nonprofits needed to be supported through their infancy. I expect by that she means with taxpayer money. Yeah, I think we can finally apply the Saul Alinsky philosophy to CNN, full-blown. The other day when Chris Cuomo told the story about buying an AR-15 without an ID, which was totally false, fixed story. Then they had some – I don’t even know who he was – interview some woman who attended a political rally and tried to make her out to be – she was a Trump supporter – tried to make her out to be involved with the Russians in some way. Absolutely absurd, totally bizarre reporting. Then you have the CNN debate, OK, that occurred with Sen. Rubio and Sen. Nelson and a representative from the NRA, and I think it was one of the sheriffs. It was a witch hunt. It was a total witch hunt. They audience drowned out any point that anybody on the opposite of the viewpoint of CNN and the left had. It was completely drowned out.

Yeah, I watched the news like the rest of us seeing these teenagers do their best at melodrama. Some of it is genuine emotions. Some of it is very scripted. And some of it is kind of scratch-your-head pathetic, because they’re all taking about how the NRA is to blame, and how weapons are to blame, and how the world would be a better place. Well, let me tell you, weapons have always existed in America. And it’s only this last generation, these millennials seem to have some kind of fascination with the violence, the mentality, the mental illness, that produces derangement, produces schizophrenia, I guess, commits murder. To bring a weapon to school, bringing that rifle to school, bringing a weapon anywhere connected to public space. First of all, where did they get the money for these weapons? Two, how do they have the idea they even want to go own a weapon? And, three, who the heck is selling a weapon to a teenager?

Yes, I’d like to say about the latest thing with the food stamp cards, that we’re not going to be getting our food the way we usually do at the grocery store, was on the TV one week ago. And it’s very unsatisfactory. I am a receiver of that, and other people I’ve told are not happy. They’re going to send food kits, and then we might get the stuff that’s leftover. And it will be more up to the governor of each state. And I don’t think that he should be making the choice. I’m very upset, and I think there’s people need to complain and let them know that they don’t want that, because government surplus in boxes is not the way to go. If you’ve got illnesses, you can’t have salt, sugar and a million other things that you don’t know is in the can.

We are led to believe that there are three parties in Washington: Republicans, Democrats and Independents. These parties consisting of conservatives, moderates and liberals. I content that there is only one party in Washington. And that party consists of hypocrites, liars and thieves. All of them. I think that there should be a mandatory telling of all the congressmen receiving money from the NRA and the national drug manufacturers. Put it out before the public so we can see what is going on.

Hello. I’m calling about the Florida shooting, you know, that happened down there in Parkland. I’d like to say this. I know those kids are upset about what happened, and I understand that. And it’s only right for them to be so. But they’re talking about the government doing something. Every time something happens, it’s the government that needs to step in. It’s the government that needs to do this. The government that needs to do that. Everything that goes on is not the government that needs to do something. I mean, the taxpayers are on the hook for everything. I think it’s time that you start blaming some of these parents, you know? It’s the way these kids are being brought up. I understand about this Nikolas Cruz, how he was brought up. It’s a shame that he was in the situation he was in. But the FBI are to blame, too, on this situation, because they didn’t do their job.

Hello, Beep. I was reading your article this morning about Greensboro and wanting businesses and jobs in Greensboro. They don’t want jobs in Greensboro. The City Council wants to keep these people in the soup line, getting free money, free housing, free food, free everything, keep them poor so that they’ll vote for them. They’ll have votes as long as these people think that they’re looking after them. They ain’t going to work. Look at all these drug dealers over on Bessemer Avenue and now the north side of Greensboro. All these New York tags you see now that you’ve never seen before. Much drug dealers. And we’re paying them. The City Council is paying them people to bring drugs into Greensboro. The city Police Department will not do their job. I’ve counted four in the last two hours with no tags on their car, none. Do you think they’ll stop them? No.

I barely got out of high school. But anybody that reads this, if you print it, and can understand it, will agree. Every sporting event, every big business, everywhere you go, they’ve got security guards except for the schools. So, naturally, that’s where the crazy people is going with a gun. They’re not going to go to big racetrack where you got armed people around there with rifles and pistols and other people flying overhead in airplanes, because it’s secure. They go to the schools, because they know nobody is going to stop them. I don’t know how much longer these people are going to march on Washington to try to lower the guns. That’s not going to help any. What’s going to stop it is somebody standing there with a gun. If a man walks up, they’ll shoot him. You wouldn’t have to do that but two or three times. I live in High Point, and I’ve noticed every other building – I am driving down 311 Main St. and every other building – you know, furniture market is coming. Think about this. Furniture market is coming. But every other building I’m seeing has a for rent, for lease or for sale signs in front of it. And I’m sitting here thinking, you want to build some sort of baseball park, you know? And they want to spend all these monies and build these big, expensive condos and apartments around them. I’m thinking, these people are smoking some serious stuff. I think they are. I don’t think if you show up at a High Point City Council meeting, or a county commissioner meeting, and you’re dealing with the High Point downtown baseball, or football stadium, or whatever the heck it’s going to be now. I guarantee you, they’re smoking reefer.

As an Independent, both parties are taking care of illegals and not their own, the citizens of the United States. The wall needs to be built, E-Verify needs to be the law of the land. I don’t think that will happen, because both parties are bought and paid for by corporations and big business. And the trade deal signed by Clinton has sent millions of high-paying union manufacturing jobs overseas over the last few couple of decades. And now young people, even with college educations, cannot find good paying jobs. My union job in 1981, I was making $13.25 an hour. When I retired last year, I was making about $30 with a pension, paid medical, 401K with company match. Something needs to be done. You young people have been brainwashed.
