The premise behind Dwight’s assumption is that the Federal Government’s monolithic bureaucracy is more competent than the dozens of private sector security companies which would take over, each of which would lose their contract if they caused hours long lines.
The premise is false.
It’s because the Libs in the Senate keep refusing to fund the Department of Homeland Security. Due to the dumb reason that they want ICE to be defunded, even though they aren’t related to each other. This results in the TSA losing funding and thus increased wait times in airports. Because some Libs are unable to comprehend the possibility of being a contributing member to this country and would much rather be a cancerous tumor within the senate. This is exactly like October; the Democrats are a cancer to this system and refuse to let things get done. Typical.
They don’t want ICE defunded, they just want to stop their abusive approach to handling of protesters, violations of search and detain laws, etc…

2/3 majority means members of the (National Socialist) Democrat Party would have to agree. Even with a very small handful of (sorry) Republicans voting no, practically the whole (one or two exceptions) (NS)DP is voting no.

I recently read that the TSA no longer offer’s special boarding privileges to Congress, they stand in line just like everyone else. “You live by the sword, you die by the sword”.

TSA workers will receive back pay in a big check that will include a higher tax rate thus receiving less take home pay.
I recommend ALL TSA workers walk off the job on Friday if a deal is not made. Let’s see how fast a deal is then made?

As Federal employees, TSA officers cannot legally strike and walking off could result in termination which prevents future federal employment. Plus, they lose the back pay for days they walk off or mass call in sick.

JFK ran on “closing the missile gap” with the USSR by building up our ICBM capacity and capability, along with our military in general. He had been a member of he military himself, and demonstrated great courage.
His other main plank was tax relief. As he put it, “A rising tide lifts all boats”. As the economy grows, so every American benefits.
He wouldn’t have a chance in today’s hard Left Democrat Party. He’d be run out as a sabre rattling hawk who favoured tax cuts for the rich.
Even Clinton advocated “a Third Way” that embodied moderate policies.
