I am a lifelong Republican who wants our elected politicians to pass all of Trump’s agenda, not theirs or Paul Ryan’s. I will vote against every single Republican senator and representative who does not support Trump’s agenda. I am glad the Democrats aren’t happy. Good. They certainly didn’t care what the Republicans wanted or needed when Obama won. So, you Republicans, do to the Dems what they did us when Obama won and get Trump’s budget done. You don’t need bipartisanship. Did they care about you when Obama won? You either vote and get Trump’s agenda in place or say goodbye to your office when you come up for reelection.

Well everybody is crying in the Rhino Beeps this week of Meals on Wheels supposedly not getting the right kind of money. But, anyway, they’re going to still have Meals on Wheels, people. The president has just cut out some of the funding. It’s already being funded by the states and the cities. But all this extra money that they don’t need, the meals are still going to be served. And I suggest maybe High Point don’t build that $45 million stadium, and they can feed some of those hungry people there in High Point and Guilford County. So, that’s one problem solved.

That sorry, worn out old has-been Hillary Clinton, the embittered hanger-on of an impeached husband from the last century, now declares that she is spearheading a brand new revolutionary movement. Wow. We can hardly wait for the latest utterance from a soon to be septuagenarian who never accomplished anything, but claims a right to be president because, well, she’s a woman – so if you don’t vote for her you must be a misogynist bigot. She describes her putative political earthquake as, quote, Resist, Insist, Persist, Enlist. Well, isn’t that cute? And puerile. If nothing else, Hillary Clinton knows her assonance. How apt. Just sign me off as An Independent Thinker.

It’s not what a person has in their bank account that makes them a person. It’s what they have in their heart and what kind of person they are that makes them a person. So, why do people go to every extreme to keep poor people out of their neighborhoods? I’ve heard some say when you have poor people you have crime and you have drugs. That’s not true. Not every poor person is a criminal, and not every poor person is a drug addict. And let me say this, there’s plenty of crime and plenty of drugs in the well-to-do neighborhoods. Poor people are the most discriminated against people in America. They’re told they can’t go to certain schools. They can’t go to certain restaurants. They can’t sit in the front of the airplane. You name it, they’re discriminated against, and it’s just wrong.

I’d just like to say we have got the sorriest, I mean the sorriest, set of city councilmembers in the State of North Carolina. They can’t be any worse than what we got. They can’t control a meeting. They can’t control nothing. They let all these people protest and break up meetings. And they don’t own that building. You know, taxpayers own that building. But they don’t own it. You got to act like you got some sense, which these people run by Nelson Johnson, they don’t have any sense. They’re foolish. Every one of them is foolish. And they show it on TV. They shouldn’t be put on TV. That’s what they want. They shouldn’t be televised. And another thing for the people in Greensboro, North Carolina, and surrounding areas that halfway obey the law, shouldn’t have to worry about getting killed on these highways we got. Greensboro streets are not safe to drive on because of the City Council.

Old Man Rockingham here. We voted Donald Trump in so that he would cut some of this nonsense in the government. Well, we’re still funding the NPR. We’re still funding Planned Parenthood. And I’m pretty sure there is a whole bunch of other programs in there that can go. So, his 100 days, I’m sorry. Donald Trump has failed us. He is not what he pretends to be, I’m afraid. But it was not from Paris, it was from London. They never got over it. Now the president of the European Commission, a nondescript grey man and former mayor of Luxembourg, Jean-Claude Juncker declares that he will henceforth no longer speak in English because it is a language in decline following Brexit. Is it just me, or are these EU bureaucrats unhinged? All this Anglophobic vindictiveness and spitefulness is just a manifestation of their visceral resentment of the historically greatest European power deciding to reclaim its independence and might. Too bad for them. Great Britain will soon be free again, thank goodness. Just sign me off as An Independent Thinker.

If we had talked about Barack Obama the way Colbert talked about Trump, he would have been fired immediately. I think it’s a double standard here. You know? The Greensboro fish wrap had an extensive article on how the findings on this civil disobedience, resisting arrest case with the juvenile cannot be handled fairly because of the city manager’s interest in the job and other things. My question would be, we have a city councilmember who is the treasurer of the NAACP, and how can she be unbiased on the issues that come before the council? I’d like for her to explain that as she goes into the hearings unbiased, or does she value her job as a treasurer of that organization?

Yes, I was just reading about our Greensboro City Council letting all those fools and thugs in there. Why don’t somebody do something about these people? If you are going to have a council meeting, that’s to help Greensboro, the good citizens, the working people that wants Greensboro to be better. So, our fool in chief Donald Trump announced today on May 5 he was going to spend the weekend at his New Jersey home instead of Trump Towers in New York City. And then boasted about how he was saving taxpayers’ money by doing so. Well, how much taxpayers’ money would he save if he actually did some stuff at the White House? That would be saving the taxpayers’ money. Don’t pretend you are saving anyone anything when you are leaving the place that you are actually supposed to be to do your work to go somewhere else.
