Hello. Just a correction to an article in this week’s Rhino Times concerning the High Point baseball stadium. The thing about High Point moves forward and Greensboro dawdles. The High Point baseball stadium project is not a public-private project. It is 100 percent public in terms it is funded 100 percent by public tax dollars. The current total for land acquisition, engineering studies, architectural renderings, and stadium construction stand at $72 million. By the time the infrastructure improvements are made, it’s estimated the cost will exceed $100 million all from public tax dollars. There are not private investments or dollars being used in the stadium project. Thank you.

This is what people need to think about. First of all, she just deflected totally away from the fact that this is federal law, that immigration, the federal government has control of immigration and deflected that. And then she totally demonized ICE, which is, again, the second principle of Alinsky. And then her and the governor both lied. She just out and out lied about the level of interference that they have done to prevent ICE from doing its job in California. Yes, this is an alert. Jerry Brown and Kamala Harris, the freshman Democrat senator from California, were just on TV a little while ago. And they were both spouting the Alinsky lie, and the deflection and the demonization of ICE. And the whole thing that’s interesting because the California State Sheriffs’ Association, right after Sessions made his speech out in Sacramento, came out and said that they’ve been told not to do certain things by the governor of California who absolutely lied to the people. And Harris, she comes out and says that it’s attacking communities and blah, blah, blah. I’m thinking 800 people that they tried to round up had felony arrest warrants in that community. So, this woman, obviously, doesn’t know what she’s talking about.

I keep forgetting I’m limited to one minute on this. So a succinct comment would be that everyone’s reactions to the Florida shooting is, you know, shock, horror and all of us are appalled at this. We’re sick of it, too. But what we noticed, and what a lot of us were criticized for, but it’s a valid point. Where did the NRA pop out of us? Why the focus on that and not the victims, and not just, hey, every school in America needs a fence. It’s because the Democrats are primed and ready for the mid-terms in the next election. One of the key points of that is money. So the NRA does give money to a lot of political candidates, primarily Republicans. That’s it. They want to chop the leg out under the Republicans for the next election. That’s it.

Yes, I want to cover a couple of subjects. One of them is the Rev. Billy Graham was laid to rest last week, and on the inscription on his resting place was “the way, the truth and the life.” And his son mentioned that during the funeral proceeding. There was a bunch of people complained about that. And I didn’t see no clergymen, no preachers anywhere in Greensboro who stood up and went along with that, because they bent their values around – that’s half of the problem we’ve got in this country is the moral values. Well, supposedly, one lifestyle of values is just as good as another. We know that the Biblical version is supposed to be correct. But all these LGBT supporters, they don’t like the way, the truth and the life. You’ve got to go through Jesus to get to the father. They don’t like that. And you’ve got some of these gutless people here in Greensboro and these big churches. There wasn’t a single one of them come out and said anything against that.

Hello. Fed up here. I am so sick and tired of hearing about this so-called opiod crisis. I have been on opioids for years. I have taken morphine, Xanax, Vicodin, Oxycodone, just too many to name. Everybody wants to blame the government. They want to blame these pharmaceutical companies. They want to blame the doctors. Let’s put the blame where it belongs – on the individual who chooses to misuse the drug. I have used these prescriptions for years. And I do not use heroin or any illegal drugs. They’re so focused on the addicts. What about the people that legitimately need these meds to manage on a day-to-day basis? Right now they are throwing the baby out with the bathwater. Stop thinking everybody that takes these medications is addicted.

Well, on the March 8 issue of the Rhino Times I knew that somebody that the fifth grade was their senior year would have something to say about Billy Graham. This person that called in talking about the fleet of cars he had, and all the homes. I’ve got no way of knowing. I’ve been sending Billy Graham a small check longer than I can remember. But if this person had any education at all, would know that that man was inspired by God to get out and save men’s souls from hell. I actually thought about running for the Senate this year, but I just didn’t do it. Cause they got all those districts all messed up, and they’re still debating about who’s in what and where. But I’ll tell you right now. When I ride around Greensboro, Winston, High Point, Thomasville and Lexington, you see homeless people all over the place. You see all types of stuff. At my job there are more people now applying for food stamps, and power help and all types of programs. You know? And everybody says, oh, the economy is turned around. Trump is doing a great job. Yes, he is. But it’s so messed up from when Obama was in office. It’s going to take years to correct it. Everybody needs to start making at least $15 or $16 an hour, you know? Just minimum wage in North Carolina, you knowt.

This is about the people complaining about what they think are people who trying to take their guns away according to the Second Amendment. This is actually in response to a person who called in assault rifles were wartime weapons. And I definitely agree with him. I can’t speak for everybody, obviously, but me, I support the Second Amendment. But nobody needs that kind of weapon. We’re not trying to take away your guns. We’re trying to take away rifles, weapons that are intended for war use, not for the average citizen to own or use. Why do you need it? If you’re a hunter, a good hunter does not need a 100 shots in a minute. There’s not pride in that. An assault rifle, it’s not called a defense rifle. It’s called an assault rifle. Like I say, we’re not trying to take away your guns.

This call is to my neighbors in Forest Oaks. There is trying to be a takeover of our property rights out here by a homeowners’ association initiated by a developer, a builder and a Realtor. If you join this homeowner association that they’re proposing, number one, they’re going to bring back the old covenants that are 50 years old to try to get the homeowners’ association in. Then, when you join the homeowners’ association, if you’re foolish enough to sign the document, it’s got to be notarized. It deeds your property over to the homeowners’ association forever. When you sell it, those rights are still with the homeowners’ association forever. I urge everyone that does not want to be involved in this homeowners’ association to, please, sign our petitions that we’ll be bringing around shortly.

On every automobile insurance policy, on the application there is a box that you check that it says the car will not be used for commercial use, and it even specifies a taxicab. This is the loophole that insurance companies use not to pay for a wreck if an Uber car is involved. Unless Uber has a for-hire tag on the back of the car and commercial insurance, there will be coverage. Uber claims while someone is in the car they have $1.5 million coverage on the car. Well, what about when the driver is out trolling for a fair and there is no one in the car? Uber’s insurance does not kick in, and neither does the driver’s insurance, because they are using a car for commercial use.

So I just jumped out and bed and I ran downstairs, and I don’t know what it is. It ain’t even summertime yet. But I just had this divine aroma go up my nostrils. And to be honest, once I put the two and two together, the smell and the cause and the ca-coo, I think it had to be a Honolulu honey hawk. I don’t know what else it could be. It had to be something of that variety if not that specific one. So, just airing it out there. It’s just on my mind. I’m wondering if I did encounter one. One divine Honolulu honey hawk.
