Public schools are fine in this state. There is nothing wrong with public schools except for uppity people who think their kids are too good for it. If you don’t want your child going to a public school, then you come up with the money to send them there. Can you not see this charter school business and this school choice is nothing but a way, and their saying it’s about the minority is nothing but them trying to get black kids in these charter schools so that they can develop their athletic program. I was just watching CNN, and the CEO of Starbucks, Howard Schultz, he is talking about who he’s voting for, and he was talking about he’s voting for Hillary Clinton. He was endorsing her for president. I just read in the Rhino Times that the city is going to spend $1.7 million to build four-tenths of a mile of 12-foot sidewalk. It’s no wonder our taxes are so high. Don’t we have anybody in the city who can count and can actually check these contracts before they throw money around that? Perhaps Mr. Obama intends to draw another “red line.” But what about the person responsible for providing nuclear technology to North Korea in the first place? Yes, this is a warning to all females out there that are in SUVs. Please, when you go to a restaurant, be sure you check around your vehicle at night. There was a guy that knocked on my sister’s window of her SUV, asked her what time the restaurant had closed. And when she drove off, parts of her SUV stopped working. When she was asked questions about Libya, and her involvement in Libya, she said, well, the justification was that we went in there because they were about to massacre women and children. Well, then, if that was the justification, why did you not go into Syria? Because they’ve massacred over 300,000, mostly Christians, in Syria. But you used that answer to justify going into Libya when that really wasn’t the case. There was no comparison between Syria and Libya. And then, when you told the veterans sitting there in the audience, me listening, that no lives were lost, no American lives were lost in Libya, it was very convenient that you forgot – maybe that’s why you forgot over 39 times when you were testifying before the FBI.

You know what? I actually took some money and opened up a McDonald’s franchise. I was looking – Taco Bell used to be open to 2 or 3 am. Then it closed down around midnight. Burger King, most of the Burger Kings around here close down around 11. And basically after 12 o’clock McDonald’s always has a line at the drive through. So, actually I invested into one of them. I’ve got to say this paid off pretty good. If you’re thinking about getting into a restaurant business, you should really look at the McDonald’s Corporation. Because I wasn’t too happy with the hours on Taco Bell, especially Burger King. I was surprised they were closing down at 10 and 11 every night. I guess they’ve got a terrible regional manager. Since the tax bills just came out, I’m wondering what I get for the 50-percent higher taxes I pay in Greensboro than I would in Raleigh or Charlotte. I just noticed a small thing. The building inspectors in Greensboro now drive $40,000, $45,000 trucks instead of the little fuel-efficient cars that they used to drive. And these guys only need a clipboard and a cellphone. By the director of social services, Ms. Skeens, and the assistant director, Myra Thompson, we were required to give our license number in case we drove a county vehicle to transport children back and forth to different places.
